Good work on the Blog guys. Always nice to see people standing up for the real money trade industry.
I wanted to post this comment to say nice work on your price comparison above, but also to blatently plug my website, Eye On MOGS, as price comparison for WoW Gold and many, many other games is exactly what we do.
Twice a day, 7 days a week across 13 store (this number is going up soon!)
Check us out and once again good work with this Blog.

Hi Jamie,
I feel a bit odd doing this via the comments, but hey.
If you’re happy then I’d be happy to link the Eye On MOGS Blog (eyeonmogs.blogspot.com) to this blog in exchange for a link back.
Don’t really do link trading on the actually Eye On MOGS site I’m afraid.
Cheers,
Mike
PS get on the Eye On MOGS contact form, or use one of the available emails to contact me if you ever want to discuss stuff. Or use my email if you can see it

The part I don’t understand is all 4 companies are under the same umbrella right?

MMORPG-SHOP definately are not part of IGE.
I’m not too sure about Team-VIPs position at this time, they certainly didn’t used to be a part of IGE - now I am not too sure.
Probably not as the prices are significantly lower.
BTW, Leo. I notice your website is listed as OffGamers. Is that a plug or do you work for them? If you do work at OffGamers I’d love to hear from you (just send me a message vi the Eye On MOGS website).
Happy Gaming All!

[…] We’ll get back with a updated article on wow gold prices in the next weeks, we’ll probably also take a good look at comparing the different prices on powerleveling services. […]

This is totally false. I just checked out the prices @ MMORPG Shop
and rather than $37 for 500 gold, they want $168!!!
What the heck is this site good for?

Taking a look at the Team VIP site, sometimes they have identical prices to other IGE sites like MySuperSales and GamerKing. This leads me to believe that they may be affiliated with IGE but I am not completely sure yet.

I’m also very confused why gold prices went up so much from a year ago. I know Blizzard banned a lot of accounts and such, but with the release of BC, gold is at least 5x easier to get now, and should have subsequently dropped the price of gold by 5x. Why is there no change anywhere???

Team VIP have recently been taken over by another company from what i hear. Since then the grade of service has dropped dramatically. People not getting refunds, people waiting weeks for as little 200g and others being given the run around, then being black listed for being a ’security risk’ when they ask for their money back after waiting a month for their order.
Basically be very careful when dealing with these folk now.

I’m really tempted to buy gold, but must admit the thought of being banned after I’ve put a lot of time and effort intomycharacters stops me. Yet these gold selling companies keep going for years and if players were being kicked off frequently they wouldn’t. Anyone know the real scoop?

virtual item store owner use many method to avoid be banned. such as VPN. It can have all computers in China or other country look in one local network and use one American IP. So the risk will be drop down.
